What We Do: The main purpose of the events committee is to facilitate the building of community & fellowship within the church.  The committee has the following responsibilities:  Plan social events for the congregation that facilitates community building and fun. This includes annual or bi-annual events such as church picnics, spaghetti dinners, assisting in the 5K Fun Run; assisting the fundraising committee.  There are roles for everyone ranging from event planning to day-of event participation, tickets sales, and more.

Time Commitment: Time commitment is driven by the type of event and role you to which you volunteer.  You can choose event(s) you'd like to participate in and choose how much time you are able to give.  A call for volunteers will go out for specific events.  For example, for Spaghetti Dinners, you could choose to set up, break down, or serve food.  Each activity takes approximately 1 to 1/12 hours.

Volunteer Ages: All events are typically high-schooler to adult volunteers; although middle school children have volunteered to run picnic activities, such as face-painting, crafting and games
