5th Annual 40 Hours Devotion

Monstrance 2

Please prayerfully consider participating in our 40 HourDevotion to Our Lord.
We are required to have a minimum of 4 people in attendance at all times during the 40 hours.  The sign-up sheet ensures that we have at least 4 people per hour time slot, but we are not limited to 4 people.
Even if you are not signed up, we hope that you feel compelled and welcomed to participate.

The church doors close and lock every evening at 9 pm.  For those who will be arriving after 9 pm, the only doors that will remain unlocked for the duration will be the South side doors nearest to the restrooms.  ALL OTHER DOORS WILL BE LOCKED between 9 pm and 5 am.  We encourage you to park in the South Parking Lot closest to the rectory.

There will be 3 public Masses held during the 40 hours:
  • Thursday, November 20, 3:30 pm - Opening Mass
  • Friday, November 21, 8:30 am - Regular Daily Mass
  • Saturday, November 22, 8:30 am - Closing Mass and Eucharistic Procession

Adoration is a time to focus on God's presence and deepen your relationship with Him.

What do I do during Adoration?

  •  Talk to Jesus in your heart about how you love Him, what you are sorry for, ways you want to thank Him, and for things you and other people need
  •  Sit quietly and look at Jesus, listening to Him
  •  Pray a Rosary or the Chaplet of Divine Mercy
  • Read the bible or a spiritual book.
    • For the children:
  •  Read a story from the Bible or the life of a Saint
  •  Write or draw a prayer to Jesus
  •  Say prayers that you have memorized, like the Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, etc.

Embrace this time of eucharistic devotion and let it nourish your spirit.
